How we started

Our beer was born in a backyard. A passionate homebrewer, Josh Hamilton, worked as a landscaper by day and perfected his brewing technique by night in the home he shared with his wife, Crysten and their two children.

It soon became clear that the beer was meant for bigger and better things than their backyard. So Josh and Crysten decided to sell their home – and everything in it – and move in with in-laws in order to fund the opening of Hamilton Family Brewery.

After five years and a third kid, their risk paid off: Rancho Cucamonga’s first craft brewery continues to grow and thrive. We’ll never forget our humble beginnings or the four words that embody our mission: love people, love beer.
